The post office
The post office of Hogsmeade is to be found at the main street of the village. Loud, squeaking noises of the owls are already ringing out to the street in front of the big building. You can see as well small and big owls flying off out of the post office in regular intervals.
Inside of the building, at least three-hundred owls are sitting on overcrowded rods and wait for a task. Here are all sizes and races represented, from huge Eagle owls, which are responsible for the delivery of large, heavy parcels down to tawny owls which only deliver mails in town.
Many post owls are also charged with delivering newspapers to the readers. These are mostly barn owls, which have a little leather pouch at the leg, in which the reader can put the money for the newspaper.
